Melania Trump may be the first lady again, but she’s no Beltway insider.

Pals say that Trump’s “real friend group isn’t in Washington, DC, or even in NYC — it’s in Palm Beach, where over the last decade she’s made a tight circle of close friends who she trusts and likes to spend time with.”

A fixture at Donald Trump’s private club in Florida, Mar-a-Lago, tells us that among Melania’s Palm Beach buddies, “No one says anything about what she does or says as everyone is aware of how hurt and disappointed she was with Stephanie [Winston Wolkoff] who betrayed her trust.”

Wolkoff is Trump’s former bestie and adviser who stabbed her in the back by writing the 2020 tell-all “Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady.”

The source says that entering a second term, “Melania simply hasn’t found a political friend group in DC, so when she goes she’s relatively isolated. She doesn’t trust Washington which is filled with leakers and people whose loyalties change with every poll and election.”

While “in NYC she has her son [Barron], and some friends she trusts. She thinks of Palm Beach as home.”

We hear that Trump, 54, has been working on her Amazon documentary and is looking forward to “working on expanding her line into a lifestyle brand.”

We previously reported that Trump inked an eye-popping $40 million deal with Amazon to license a documentary on her life.

Directed by “Rush Hour” auteur Brett Ratner, the project is set to be released later this year, with one source close to the agreement suggesting it could spawn multiple projects.

Melania in 2020 blasted her former pal, Wolkoff, calling her a “dishonest opportunist” who “clung to me” for fame after the former aide wrote an exposé that painted an unflattering portrait of the former model.
