Earlier this week, the 2025 Met Gala kicked off May with a star-studded red carpet to remember. And while A-listers came out in droves to deliver their best Met looks on the First Monday in May, the statement fashions continued on throughout the week afterwards. The best dressed stars? It was those who embraced classic, glamorous designs that had an updated feel. Think: Formal wear, but with a twist. (A sartorial vibe we also saw at the Met, with plenty of suiting).
Take the Met Gala after-parties, where stars like Rihanna and Hailey Bieber stepped out in polished looks. Rihanna chose all black in her custom slinky Ann Demeulemeester cropped shirt and silky skirt, while Bieber went sleek and corseted in her Dilara Fındıkoğlu mini dress. The day after the Met, model Anok Yai was also spotted leaving her hotel in a saucy daytime look—a classic trench coat, paired with a bandeau top and briefs.
In Rome, meanwhile, Kylie Jenner made her official red carpet debut with Timothee Chalamet—choosing to do so in a timeless black Schiaparelli maxi gown. (Chalamet didn’t look too bad either, in his dapper black suit). They say that couples that dress together stay together. Or maybe we made that up…but if one thing is for sure, they sure can coordinate.
