Chop, chop.

Renée Zellweger debuted a chic pixie haircut on her cover for British Vogue’s February issue, which reunited the “Bridget Jones’s Diary” actress and co-star Hugh Grant, who interviewed her for the story.

When prepping for the shoot, hairstylist Syd Hayes told the mag that he drew inspiration from David Bowie, specifically the late musician’s fringe and jagged ends.

However, he wasn’t quite sure if Zellweger would be down for the dramatic transformation.

“When you’re cutting someone’s hair short, they’ve got to want to do it – it’s them who has to love it,” the hairstylist said, adding that the actress was into the possibility of changing up her locks.

“She was so open to it. It wasn’t about Bridget, but more about her as a person.

When people go for a cut that’s too in-between and not big or bold enough, you don’t get the dramatic effect,” the expert noted. “You don’t get the wow factor. That’s why Reneé was so cool; she felt the cut. She believed in it.”

To achieve the cut, the hairstylist used clippers, as well as standard scissors and razor blades.

And when it came to styling her sleek pixie, Hayes turned to an old Vidal Sassoon technique: the wrap dry.

“You take a vent brush and hairdryer and push the hair in all different directions, wrapping it around the head,” said Hayes.

He said, “It gives that nice, Bowie-esque bend to the hair.”

In the interview, Zellwegger opened up about why she took an acting hiatus from 2010 to 2016.

“I was sick of the sound of my own voice. When I was working, I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, listen to you. Are you sad again, Renée? Oh, is this your mad voice?’ It was a regurgitation of the same emotional experiences,” Zellweger, 55, explained.

In 2016, she reprised her role as for “Bridget Jones’s Baby” and is set to for a fourth film, “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” which sees a widowed Jones get into the dating world, out on Feb. 14.
