Porsha has planned a girls’ trip to Nashville for her birthday, but has Angela gone too far when she invites Drew to tag along? On this episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we see personalities and alliances come to light. As Brit is still trying to move on from Kenya‘s attack, a big allegation comes out regarding Drew and Dennis that leaves the group stunned.
While Brit shops for a new car, she explains “you can’t hold a bad b*tch down” despite what happened to her with Kenya. No one seems to know where to go, especially after that peace brunch.
Angela hosts Drew, and the ladies seem to bond despite Drew lying about being Michael Jordan’s cousin. It seems like they are “team twirl,” according to Cynthia, Shamea, Kelli, and Porsha. This crew talks about marriage, Kelli’s dog with the dye job (done so as not to be stolen again), and the infamous peace brunch.
It seems like everyone is going low, and Brit does not appreciate Angela’s line of questioning about her license being under investigation. After all, to be an insurance agent, one must be squeaky clean and go through a lot of red tape in order to represent clients. It appears as though Angela lacks empathy, and Brit explains that perhaps Angela should worry about her own man. The rumor is that her husband, Charles, had a baby on her… should not throw stones if you live in a glass house…
One person that Brit is ready to try again with is Drew. They will be meeting for a drink to try and get back to a good place. Speaking of Drew, she is dreading her second court date hearing. The attorney is trying to keep the court case with Ralph sealed to protect her children from knowing about mom and dad’s fighting, but things are getting ugly. It does not help that she has this beef with Porsha. Drew claims that Dennis had a conversation with Ralph, and she had one with Porsha early on, but now both parties seem to have an issue.
Porsha tells her crew that she doesn’t care about Drew, and Drew didn’t even make the guest list for her Cowboy Carter-themed birthday party down in Nashville. This is a trip for those she loves, not the ones who cause her angst. When Angela asks Porsha over her FaceTime call if Drew can come, she doesn’t get a straight answer from Porsha, and so she decides to take matters into her own hands. She goes ahead and invites Drew, promising that she can work on Porsha and act as the mediator. Bold move considering all that Porsha and Drew are going through… but Drew is unsure if she should attend.
Later, Angela admits to a plastic surgery mess. When she first got her nose done, it was too pinched. A doctor then suggested she get Botox, but then her face blew up. Total disaster.
Brit and Drew get together for some lemon drop martinis and to discuss the peace brunch that wasn’t. Brit did not appreciate that Drew was defending Kenya, but Drew explains that she did not like Brit’s celebratory tone with Kenya gone. She wants real answers about Brit’s past and questions if she has ever “sold the cat” or did porn. Brit does admit to doing webcam videos with a friend in her 20s, but that’s it.
Drew insinuated that she might know the recipient of Brit’s “d*ck sucking incident” that Kenya displayed, but she states that she was joking when she told the group. Brit does not appreciate her character being compromised, but Drew reminds Brit that she has also been in the same position. Brit states that they will move forward, but she still wonders where Drew stands with Kenya.
Things are getting more and more contentious between Drew and Ralph as they continue to navigate their divorce. Drew’s goals are to get Ralph out of the house, for him to disclose his financial records, and to keep their files sealed. All she wants is child support from Ralph and for him to get out of the basement, but Ralph is ready to fight back, which is crazy to Drew. After all, these sealed records are worse for Ralph than for Drew.
In the end, the judge ruled to unseal the documents. Ralph did not turn over his financial documents, and he remains in the basement. It is like a nightmare for Drew, and now her children will have to see everything on the internet from those documents. Drew thought they were better than this, but things are ugly now, whereas Ralph thinks he is making progress in the right direction. He feels that unsealing the records will make it an even playing field, but it just seems like a dirty move.
Porsha is pumped for a drama-free birthday trip to Nashville, and everyone seems to be in a great mood. Angela missed her flight, but it doesn’t seem like the crew even cares. They are too busy picking out their rooms in the mansion on the lake that Porsha has supplied for the party. The drinks and the cowboy greeting make it easy for them to get comfortable, and when they peek into the basement, Porsha yells down for Drew — the shade!!
Porsha explains that for the last three years, she traveled with her ex, but now she would prefer good vibes with her girls. While the ladies eat, they wonder why Angela seems to act two different ways depending on who she is with. When Angela arrives, she knows right off the bat that the group was talking about her. Angela comes right out, stating she would like Drew to join them on the trip… but like Angela, know your audience.
Angela lets them know, “I anticipate seeing Drew. And yeah, I did invite Drew because I feel like Drew should come.” Wow, Angela. She thinks she can be the mediator, but the situation is far past the point of being fixed with Porsha. Angela seems to have lost her mind here.
It is quite ironic that the “all are welcome” pillow is part of the décor, considering the drama that is ensuing when it comes to Drew. Angela doesn’t seem to understand that she has no business inviting Drew and later chats with her via phone call, claiming that the “vibes are good” and that everyone is expecting her. Say what?!
It doesn’t help that Drew is busy celebrating her potential deal with a record label at Dennis’s hookah bar….
Porsha feels like Angela is bullying her on her birthday, but she refuses to let this get her down. Some more “super special” girlfriends meet up to celebrate, and they prepare to turn up. They ride the bull (terribly) and head to dinner.
Porsha makes it known that she is less than pleased with Angela. She feels pressured to have Drew join the trip, but Angela claims she was just trying to help them get through their differences. Porsha wanted this trip to be about HER, and she does not know what happened to the calm, demure Angela she thought she knew.
Angela wonders why Porsha is acting “bold now” in front of her other ladies, and she refuses to let the group talk about Drew when she is not even there to defend herself. Porsha feels like the things with Drew are undercover, and a friend of Porsha’s blurts out that Drew “suck some d*ck.” Porsha does not deny this statement, claiming that fellatio is Dennis’s thing… “that’s how he keeps his body count balanced.” Everyone is shocked that this came out, and it is certainly not a great environment for Drew to be walking into…
