Who knew having “high body count hair” and a BumpIt could ruin a Bat Mitzvah? As Meredith celebrates her important religious milestone, the group falls apart around her.  On this episode of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City, the drama level is high and the fighting is intense- so intense that Meredith relies on her security to remove Angie from the event. There goes any chance of reconciliation between those two…

In preparation for her Bat Mitzvah, Meredith has been working hard learning all of the prayers to affirm her faith and spirituality.  Meredith is thrilled to be surrounded by her whole family, including her mother, sister, and her oldest son, who we usually do not see on camera (and we may or may not have forgotten about).

Heather remembers Bat Mitzvahs fondly, since that was the first time she ever sipped alcohol, and she is excited to see the ceremony with an adult perspective.  The crew rolls up to the event, but Whitney is frustrated since the camping trip.  She doesn’t like Bronwyn’s intentions and she doesn’t trust her one bit.

The jabs start right off the bat, with Lisa referring to Whitney and Britani’s gem nails as “bridge and tunnel” (aka unsophisticated). Although shocked to receive an invite, Angie arrives to celebrate Meredith in an attempt to move forward from their recent issues.  But Angie is not the most well-received person at the event.  Bronwyn refuses to say hello to Angie since Angie called her a liar, and until Bronwyn gets an apology from Angie, the cold shoulder it is.

When the ladies wonder if Mary is coming, we get a flashback to a week earlier. Mary admits to Angie that she has more on her plate now, yet remains tight-lipped about Robert’s situation.  Meredith’s Bat Mitzvah is not high on Mary’s list, especially since they aren’t on the best of terms.  Plus, Mary has been in a state of shock, leaning on God to help guide her to what she should do for Robert.

Angie realizes the weird vibe. Britani is still mad at Angie for calling her a “slut,” particularly because Britani claims to be a religious woman.  Britani then suggest that if Angie is “accusing me of that, then that’s probably what she is doing with Sean.”  I’m sorry, what?  Britani also feels like Angie likes to get attention, which Bronwyn agrees with. In fact, Bronwyn refers to Angie as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.  Ooph, girl.

In the meantime, Meredith makes her grand entrance to her Bat Mitzvah on a horse drawn carriage.  #sleigh. Meredith is happy to have Angie there, as today is about togetherness. Just do me a favor, and don’t drink every time Lisa shouts out “Mazel Tov!”

Meredith was gifted Seth’s scarf that he wore at his Bar Mitzvah, so it’s a special moment that represents sentimental value. As Meredith reads from the Torah, Lisa becomes emotional and feels even more connected to Meredith, as they both now share this background.

Because religion AND Meredith are important to Mary, Mary comes late to the Bat Mitzvah to show her support despite what is happening in her life. Mary peeks in to try to find the entrance, but she is directly behind the Rabbi. Mary finally enters as Meredith comes up to make her speech. Meredith is overcome with emotion discussing her public affirmation of being Jewish. She explains that this is a spiritual journey, helping her feel more connected to her religion.

At the party after the ceremony, Mary confronts Meredith and lets her know that her friends never walk out of her house.  No friends of Mary’s treat her like Meredith did. Meredith and Mary apologize to one another and they decide to learn from it and move forward. Looking back, the fight seems ridiculous, especially since Mary is going through much deeper, darker stuff.

Angie pulls Bronwyn aside to chat and starts with a compliment.  Bronwyn believes that Angie owes her an apology, but it is the other way around in Angie’s eyes. Angie admits that things ended on a bad note, but believes that Bronwyn twisted her words.  Bronwyn still get believe that Angie told her to STFU (multiple times), but Angie felt like she was put in a bad position all because Bronwyn spins the story. Angie points out that Bronwyn inserted herself in Britani’s relationship, yet Angie was the one who said Britani was with three guys at once. Angie calls Bronwyn mean, but Bronwyn believes that Angie’s language is OOC.  However, the last time I checked, Bronwyn was the one who said, “you’re gonna ride my f*cking d*ck like it’s your job.”

Todd walks over to diffuse the situation.  Angie apologizes to Bronwyn (in front of Todd) for telling Bronwyn to STFU and lets Todd know that he is the best as Bronwyn storms away. Aside, Todd wishes that Bronwyn would have given him a chance and he wonders why Bronwyn stayed in that situation with Angie.

In other news, Heather and Whitney are ok after Bronwyn’s attempt to stir sh*t up at camp day. When Lisa comes over, Whitney makes it clear that she never said she was going to take down Heather.  Lisa interrupts, causing Whitney to flip her lid. Whitney feels like Bronwyn is taking her words and spinning them, but Lisa is adamant that Whitney is a liar.

Lisa suggests the two liars come together and so Bronwyn gets called over.  Angie thinks that Bronwyn is a bad person, but Britani thinks Angie says things to be dramatic, like when Angie said she was dating multiple men at one time.

To be messy, Bronwyn leans in and points out that Britani said Angie called her a slut because Angie is a slut. And now they’re off. Britani is furious that Bronwyn would add that information in, but Bronwyn thinks this is hilarious.  Angie is aghast that Britani would call HER a slut and she goes on a tangent about Britani’s “high body count” cheap hair.  She tells Britani to take her Bumpit and walk away.  Fighting words!

Britani is so upset that she runs to Whitney and tells her that Angie says she gives off slutty vibes.  Angie yells that she has never been slutty, but it’s the BumpIt that’s giving Britani the vibe.  Hair shaming is different than slut shaming (apparently) and Angie believes that she was “offering up good advice.” LOL.

When Britani comes back to the party, she cries to Meredith, stating she has never been slut-shamed.  Angie comes over, but it’s too late night.  Meredith is activated and points out that Angie calls everyone a slut and whore.  She tells Angie to leave as Lisa tries to advise Britani on what to do about THAT hair. (“You do need Kerastase Thermatique”). Meredith calls security over to escort Angie out of the party, as she has had it with Angie’s nasty behavior.

Angie thanks Meredith for the “beautiful, religious” event and she leaves, but not before reminding Meredith that she brought her a gift even though Meredith never brought her one.  Lisa isn’t sure how Angie cannot see her part in this mess, but it seems like Angie doesn’t remember what SHE says…only the reactions.

Lisa is wondering if her upcoming girls’ trip to Puerto Vallarta is a great idea now that the group is crashing and burning. Meredith and Bronwyn hate Angie. Angie hates Britani. And Lisa hates Whitney.  After the way things turned out at this party, Lisa better hope she can get refunded for the trip!
