Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, is “devastated” after learning that the late One Direction member reportedly partied with prostitutes in the hours before he died.
“She just has heard about the prostitutes,” a friend told The Post Friday. “She knew nothing about that. She just said she has to wrap her mind around it.”
The insider added that the claims are “obviously a huge betrayal” for the influencer and it “hurts a lot.”
“She hasn’t stopped crying,” the pal further shared. “She’s devastated. She’s got a good support system around her, but this just went from bad to worse. She’s not OK.”
Payne died on Wednesday after falling from a third-story balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, where he had been staying as a guest.
He was reportedly under the influence of potent drugs that cause hallucinations and psychotic attacks.
Sources taking part of his death investigation told local Argentine news outlet La Nación Friday that two 25-year-old prostitutes admitted to drinking alcohol with Payne in his hotel room before he passed.
The women, whose identities were not disclosed, spoke with lead prosecutor Marcelo Roma under oath and shared they were invited to the CasaSur Palermo Hotel after being called via an escort service.
They reportedly arrived at the hotel at around 11:30 a.m. and spent a few hours drinking with the pop star. The sex workers allege, however, that they did not do drugs with Payne and he seemed “normal” to them.
Per the report, the prostitutes did not leave the hotel until 4 p.m. because they were arguing with the “Night Changes” singer over him allegedly not wanting to pay them.
A fellow hotel guest named Michael Fleischmann claimed he witnessed the “tense” fight over money.
The American tourist told the Buenos Aires Herald he overheard Payne say, “I’ll give you $20,000 just because I can. I have $55 million, and I like to help people.”
According to the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office, the two women “had already left the hotel” by the time the “Teardrops” singer plunged to his death.
Investigators, however, did share in a report obtained by Page Six that they interviewed the two women, along with three hotel staffers, and concluded that Payne was alone when he passed.
La Nación’s sources said the prostitutes were cooperative with police and even handed over their phones.
Payne had been in a relationship with Cassidy for two years. It’s unclear whether he engaged in any sexual activity with the two women and cheated on his longtime girlfriend.
However, the “Story of My Life” singer was upset with the influencer for leaving Argentina without him after he “begged” her to stay with him, Cassidy’s friend told The Post.
“He was really unhappy about that,” the pal claimed. “He made sure she knew that.”
The friend shared that the couple got into a “heated” exchange over Cassidy wanting to fly back to the US and the influencer ultimately “took things into her own hands and got herself a ticket” home.
The pal said Cassidy had grown frustrated as Payne had given her “no indication of when he’d be ready to leave.”
The social media star shared in a TikTok earlier this week, “Honestly, I love South America, but I hate staying in one place for too long.” She added that their five-day trip had lasted for two weeks.
The couple had flown to Argentina to support Payne’s former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan, who had a concert there on Oct. 2. The singer also used that opportunity to make up with his longtime friend.
In a since-deleted video on Snapchat, Payne teased her for leaving their vacation early, joking calling her a “weirdo” and “loser.”
A few days after the “Strip That Down” singer was left to his own devises, he seemingly began using booze and drugs, which caused him to reportedly start acting “erratic” and ultimately led to his death.
Payne’s cause of death was determined to be from multiple traumas that led to internal and external bleeding, per the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office autopsy.
Cassidy said in a statement Friday that she is at a “complete loss” over her late boyfriend’s death.
“Nothing about the past few days have felt real,” the influencer wrote in a statement via Instagram. “I ask and pray that you’ll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.”
In a message to Payne, she added, “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam.”
Her friend told The Post that Cassidy “has a few people around her, including family members. She’s not alone. She’s responsive to me and our other friends. We’ll all help her however we can.”
