Jennifer Garner shared rare throwback photos from her childhood to celebrate her sisters’ upcoming birthdays.

The “13 Going on 30” star posted an Instagram message Wednesday wishing her siblings, Melissa Lynn Garner and Susannah Kay Garner, well on their special day.

“My sisters’ birthdays fall on either side of this week, just as my sisters landed on either side of me,” she wrote. “Smashed in the middle, right between Melissa and Susannah, is where I belong—more than any other spot on the planet.”

“I’m more and more grateful to be the middle Garner Girl, buffered from the world by one big and one little. Happy birthday, Sisters. ♥️”

Jennifer began the carousel with a photo of her, Melissa and Susannah posing on the bow of a boat. Melissa, the eldest sister, wrapped her arms around her younger siblings as they squinted into the sunlight.

The “Elektra” star included several other pictures from their childhood adventures, from hikes in the forest to fun days on the water.

She rounded out the candid photos of them laughing and carving pumpkins with a professional picture of the trio.

In the funny snap, the three Garner girls stared down the camera while dressed in typical ’70s fashion — a favorite among Jennifer’s 17 million followers.

While Jennifer is very active on social media, her ultra-private siblings are rarely featured on the actress’ feed.

However, Jennifer posted an image alongside her mother, Patricia, and Melissa in November 2024.

In the snap, the three women walked hand-in-hand through the fall foliage in their hometown of Charleston, W. Va., where their mother still lives

Jennifer, Melissa and Susannah grew up in West Virginia alongside their mom and dad, William John Garner, who died peacefully on March 30. He was 85.

Jennifer reflected on her southern roots during a January 2024 interview with Southern Living.

“What my mom did that I valued so much was to not place beauty high on the list of priorities,” the actress said of their household morals.

The Garners gave their daughters $400 a year for clothes, which “had to buy everything from our underwear to our shoes,” Jennifer joked.

The girls didn’t wear makeup and were taught the importance of hard work at an early age, which Jennifer has tried to instill in her own children — Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12.

“It’s really important for my kids to see that everyone doesn’t have the lives they see in Los Angeles,” she said.

She continued, “That doesn’t reflect the rest of the world. I want them to grow up with the Southern values I had—to look at people when they say hello and to stop and smell the roses. If I could do half as good a job as my mom did, I’d be pretty happy.”

The actress also hopes her children will have the same bond she and her sisters share.

“Being the middle sister of these three girls is the relationship that defines me more than anything else,” Jennifer told the outlet. “More than being my kids’ mother, I’m first and foremost the middle Garner girl.”
