Jamie Foxx was involved in an altercation at the Los Angeles hotspot Mr. Chow during his birthday celebration Friday night.

“Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,” a spokesperson for the “Just Mercy” star told Page Six Saturday.

“He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”

A Beverly Hills Police Department press release obtained by Page Six states that law enforcement was called to Mr. Chow at 10:06 p.m. Friday evening for a reported assault with a deadly weapon.

However, the report was unfounded and the police department confirmed the incident “involved a physical altercation between parties.”

Officers submitted a report documenting battery and confirmed no arrests were made. The incident is still being investigated.

TMZ was the first to report on the incident.

Page Six reached out to Mr. Chow for comment via phone and email.

Foxx was photographed and filmed signing autographs outside of Mr. Chow Tuesday night and spoke about how grateful he was to be alive to see another birthday following the near-death health scare he experienced in 2023.

“It’s beautiful because I didn’t know if I would be here to celebrate it,” he told photographers in a video post on X.

Foxx also spoke about returning to the stage for his new Netflix special, “What Happened Was,” which premiered Tuesday.

“It’s amazing, man, to have gone through something so crazy, but to get back on, make some chuckles and let other people know what’s up, was amazing,” he said.

The Academy Award winner got emotional during the special as he revealed that a “brain bleed that … led to a stroke” is what caused him to be hospitalized for weeks beginning in April 2023.

He also said he doesn’t remember 20 days of his time in the hospital.

Ultimately, the surgeon never located where the brain bleed began but he was able to make a full recovery.

“We still don’t know exactly what happened to me,” he said in the special.

“All I can tell you is that I appreciate every prayer, because I needed every prayer.”
