They could always stay at the Embassy Suites?

Some socialite ambassadors who’ve been named to cushy posts by President Trump could find themselves “homeless” now that the administration is angling to close embassies and consulates, political sources said.

Somers Farkas — a high-society fixture at tony galas like the Central Park Hat Lunch, who’s also a trustee of the New York City Police Foundation and an honorary FDNY battalion chief — is Trump’s pick for ambassador to the Republic of Malta, pending Senate approval.

Somers, married to Alexander’s department store heir Jonathan Farkas, served on the committee to choose Trump’s White House Fellows.

In December, Trump said: “Somers is a model, philanthropist, documentary producer and very successful businesswoman.”

One political insider scoffed, “Trump nominated her to be ambassador to Malta… They’re abolishing these embassies under DOGE and getting rid of these.”

The insider added, wondering of the displaced ambassadors, “Are they gonna camp out?”

But a source told us that Farkas has attended ambassador training in Alexandria, Va., and “she’s ready to go no matter what” once she’s been confirmed.

The source added that closing an embassy can take years and there are “lots of diplomatic steps that need to be taken.”

Said the worldly source, “It’s not like closing a Starbucks!”

Another embassy under threat of closure is in Luxembourg, while embassies in the Central African Republic, Eritrea, Gambia, Lesotho, Congo and South Sudan could also reportedly close.

The proposed ambassador for Luxembourg is Stacey Feinberg, a board member of the Women Founders Network who has produced Broadway musicals and is a motivational speaker.

Other big-name ambassadors include former Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle (Greece) and former NFL star Herschel Walker (Bahamas).

A senior State Department official cautioned no plans have been released — and any leaked info doesn’t reflect finalized plans.
