Charli XCX has shared a new remix of ‘Talk Talk’ featuring Troye Sivan and Dua Lipa, and played a ‘Brat’ show in London – check out the song below, as well as footage and the setlist for the gig.

The remix of ‘Talk Talk’ was teased by XCX earlier this week and officially confirmed on Wednesday (September 11). It sees her reimagine the ‘Brat’ song with vocals by Sivan, as well as featuring contributions from Dua Lipa, who speaks Spanish and French throughout.

It is one of multiple remixes from the hit album, which will all be compiled and shared as part of a new version of ‘Brat’. Charli XCX shared details of the new version of the record yesterday (September 12) in a post on X/Twitter with new artwork.

Appearing to be a remix album – set for release on October 11 – the artwork is along the same lines as the original ‘Brat’ cover, but shows the writing placed to the right-hand side and inverted. Based on the pre-save page, it looks like the project contains 16 songs, of which five are previously released remixes of songs from the original tracklist.

Alongside ‘Talk Talk’, ‘Von Dutch’ has been remade with Addison Rae, ‘Girl, So Confusing’ with Lorde, ‘360’ with Robyn and Yung Lean, and ‘Guess’ with Billie Eilish. Visit here to pre-save ‘Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat’, and check out the ‘Talk Talk’ remix in full below.

As well as dropping the latest star-studded remix, Charli XCX also performed a live set in London last night as part of a new fashion campaign.

Taking place at the Copper Box Arena in London, the event was held as part of ‘H&M&London’ – celebrating the new collection by fashion retailer H&M. It saw famous faces like Naomi Campbell and Ncuti Gatwa in attendance, as well as after-party DJ sets led by Jamie xx and Sherelle.

Charli performed earlier in the event, and broke out a 10-song set that celebrated ‘Brat’. According to Setlist.FM, this saw her both open and close with the hit ‘365’ and incorporate a cover of Caroline Polachek’s ‘Welcome To My Island’.

“Last night was iconic and it was cute to party with H&M and all my fans in London,” the singer said (via H&M Group). Find footage and the setlist below.

Charli XCX’s Copper Box Arena setlist was:

‘365’
‘360’
‘Welcome to My Island’ (Caroline Polachek cover)
‘Club Classics’
‘Von Dutch’
‘Everything is romantic’
‘Guess’
‘Apple’
‘Vroom Vroom’
‘365’

As well as joining forces on the ‘Talk Talk’ remix, Charli XCX and Troye Sivan are also gearing up to start their ‘Sweat’ tour later this month. The dates start tomorrow (September 14) with an opening show at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. From there, they’ll make stops in Boston, New York, Toronto, Phoenix, Los Angeles and more, before ending in Seattle on October 23. Visit here for any remaining tickets.

Since its release in June, Charli’s sixth studio album ‘Brat’ has gone on to make some huge waves across the music industry and become a pop culture phenomenon.

As well as climbing up the charts and becoming the soundtrack to the summer – creating the ‘Brat Summer’ craze – the album has also gained fans from the likes of Vice President Kamala Harris, former POTUS Barack Obama and NATO.

It was also given a four-star review by NME, with Hannah Mylrea describing it as “painting a picture of who XCX is in 2024.” “Growing pains, grief and aching doubts come alongside self-confidence, celebration and the knowledge of the place XCX holds in the musical landscape,” it read.

More recently, A. G. Cook and Finn Keane – two of the producers behind ‘Brat’ – spoke to NME at the 2024 Mercury Prize about what it was like to work on the album, as well as revealing the thing that sets Charli XCX apart from everyone else.

“This album was very different to work on than pretty much everything else that I’ve taken part in because it was so focused and relentless. Charli really has this clear vision,” Cook explained. “We knew it was going to be called ‘Brat’ for the entire two years of making it, and we cut anything that wasn’t ‘Brat. If it didn’t feel ‘Brat’, it was gone! We’d barely even talk about it again out of embarrassment of it not being ‘Brat’ enough.”

Keane continued: “Charli always has a vision of where she is and where she wants to go, but with this, I think it was more than ever.”
