Bombshell details continue to emerge involving New York magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi’s illicit textual affair with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — including claims their relationship was “toxic” and “psychotic” — and that the Kennedy scion told her he wanted to impregnate her.
Nuzzi filed for a no-contact order against her former fiancé, Politico reporter Ryan Lizza, in Washington, D.C., Superior Court on Sept 30.
In his response to the court on Oct. 14, he stated that he discovered, “Nuzzi had been cheating on me with a married man [RFK Jr.] for almost a year.”
“She admitted the affair and over the course of weeks of conversations she confided how she fell into what she described as a ‘toxic’ ‘unhealthy’ ‘stupid’ ‘psychotic’ ‘crazy’ ‘indefensible’ relationship with a 70-year-old ‘sex addict’ who told her he wanted to ‘possess,’ ‘control,’ and ‘impregnate’ her,” he claims in court papers seen by Page Six.
Nuzzi has previously claimed that Lizza “hacked” her devices for “the purpose of stalking and surveilling me and to collect materials to employ as blackmail to intimidate me back into a relationship, and to inflict public ridicule and humiliation as well as professional damage as punishment when I would not return to the relationship.”
She has also claimed he, “utilized a third party or anonymous channel,” to inform her employer about the affair.
Nuzzi has been placed on leave from New York Magazine.
Lizza has fervently denied the allegations — and said that he “pleaded with her to go to her editors and disclose her affair before they found out about it on their own.”
“Almost everything I know about her affair comes directly from Ms. Nuzzi herself,” he claims in the latest court docs.
Lizza claims he broke off their engagement on Aug. 17 and that she begged for him back, sending him text messages allegedly saying she was “heartbroken,” and “I just feel so f–king lost, and I just want you to hold me.”
In September, he claims they spent five nights together in a hotel in NYC and he that he told her, “That I would help her get away from the disturbing relationship with her paramour [Kennedy], but that I seriously doubted that it was possible for us to have a future together, [and] that she needed to make arrangements to move her belongings out of our apartment.”
Nuzzi however, is claiming that on Aug. 17, Lizza “threatened me with physical violence and used the threat of violence to coerce me to agree to assume his share of financial responsibility for a joint contract with a book publisher.”
Lizza denies the claims of threats, but admits he feels she should pay back the book advance.
He also mentions an alleged secondary affair of Nuzzi’s, which he claims happened in 2020.
“I thought she should be responsible for paying back our book advance since this is the second presidential cycle in a row where Ms. Nuzzi’s personal indiscretions have sabotaged our book project,” he claims.
In December 2021, Page Six exclusively reported that the former couple’s book deal had been put on ice by their publisher. At the time we were told that Nuzzi had suffered “a significant setback in many areas” of her life due to a major family matter. We were also told that they had trouble finding significant scoops.
Lizza has accused Nuzzi of using her court filing to “harass” him “with a coordinated defamation campaign by peddling these false accusations to the press.”
Nuzzi, 31, and Lizza, 50, were engaged in September 2022.
RFK Jr., who is married to “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actress Cheryl Hines has denied he had an affair.
Nuzzi and the one-time Presidential candidate reportedly did not have a physical relationship, though she allegedly did send “demure,” nudes.
A source told Page Six the pair had “incredible” FaceTime sex, and even said they loved each other.
To add to her potential legal issues, those close to Kennedy have implied that he might sue her.
Kennedy’s alleged sex addiction has been well documented. Three of his diaries, exclusively seen by The Post after his second wife, Mary Richardson Kennedy, took her own life in 2012, talked about his “lust demons” — and revealed that he scored his sexual paramours with a code.
Since the Nuzzi affair became public, three more women, linked to him through an anti-vaxx charity, have alleged to Mediaite that they had romantic affairs with him over the past year.
His team called the report “untrue.”
