It’s not the White House. But… it’s a short walk to the Park?
Kamala Harris is eyeing post-loss life in New York, we hear.
Page Six spies say that Doug Emhoff toured a $20,000-a-month three-bedroom at the Park Loggia luxury condo building on the Upper West Side last week. (“The missus was missing,” said the source.)
We’re told he arrived at the Lincoln Center high-rise on Friday with a “convoy of SUVs and a phalanx of Secret Service.”
No word yet if the power pair plan to take the apartment.
Meanwhile, a source said, “Not from me, but I heard they were looking to be bicoastal.”
A third said that the soon-to-be-former VEEP and Second Gentleman intend for Los Angeles to continue to be their base when they leave Number One Observatory Circle this week, but conceded that Emhoff has indeed been casting his eye over some homes in the Big Apple on the couple’s behalf.
Emhoff’s daughter, Ella, lives in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
The New York Times recently wrote that Harris, who, some readers will recall, lost the general election to Donald Trump in November, will leave office “with no concrete plans about what to do next or how to proceed as a private citizen for the first time since she was elected San Francisco’s district attorney in 2003.”
It added that “her friends, aides and political allies have said… that it is too soon to even contemplate, let alone plan, the next phase of her life, except to say that the 60-year-old Ms. Harris will have plenty of options.”
Meanwhile, it would be a good moment to have a second home — the couple’s LA home is in the area badly effected by the fires.
Their property is in the evacuation zone for the Brentwood fire.
A rep for Harris declined to comment.
