Who says exes can’t still be friends?
Billy Crudup and Claire Danes had a friendly reunion more than 20 years after their infamous 2003 cheating scandal involving a then-pregnant Mary-Louise Parker.
The two were spotted smiling and sharing a hug at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Gala Monday night, per a video shared by People.
The clip showed Danes, 45, getting up from her table to embrace Crudup, 56, and briefly chat after he came over to say hello.
Both stars appeared to have attended the event without their respective spouses, Hugh Dancy and Naomi Watts.
Crudup and Danes met while working on the 2003 film “Stage Beauty” when the actor was in a relationship with Parker.
He left the “Weeds” actress, who was 7 months pregnant at the time, to pursue a romance with Danes. Parker gave birth to their son, William Atticus Parker, now 21, in January 2004.
While Crudup and Danes initially tried to hide their relationship, they eventually moved in together and dated until 2007.
Danes reflected on her relationship with Crudup in an interview with Howard Stern in 2015, calling the experience a “scary thing.”
“That was really hard. I didn’t know how to not do that,” the “Homeland” star explained.
“I was just in love with him and needed to explore that and I was 24. I didn’t quite know what those consequences would be. But it’s OK. I went through it.”
She added, “We’re friendly — we’re friends.”
Danes married Dancy in 2009 and they share one son together.
Meanwhile, Crudup tied the knot with Watts in a private ceremony in 2023.
They held a second wedding with family and friends in Mexico City in June 2024.
