Lisa‘s Puerto Vallarta trip continues on this episode of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City. And the hits just keep on coming. Bronwyn Newport sheds new light on her relationship with Todd Bradley as she opens up about his past infidelity, confirming what Heather already thought about their marriage. Britani continues to feel starved for attention, and Mary arrives in Mexico just in time for the blow-up between Lisa and Angie.
Before the day’s activities, Bronwyn chats with Todd regarding her late-night text about wanting to come home the night before. Bronwyn is irked that Lisa insinuates she is snobby and ungrateful all because she is annoyed with the rooming situation. Bronwyn just wanted to be by Lisa, her friend, the one that knows her the best…
Whitney, Heather, and Angie begin some water Olympics — ya know, a great exercise for older joints. I heard that shade, Whitney. They chat about Bronwyn and they see how defeated she seems. Take, for instance, the dog bites. We learn that Todd did not even go to the emergency room with Bronwyn! Heather feels like Todd is mean to Bronwyn and “dismisses” her. Heather sees many parallels between her marriage and Bronwyn’s. Heather also pandered to her ex-husband’s every need and allowed herself to be dismissed. A slippery slope that drains happiness.
Lisa greets the group with VIDA bags in preparation for the yacht, but Bronwyn is unsure what she would use a canvas bag for, because no, she does not grocery shop. As Meredith rests her eyes on the ride over, Britani is not surprised she is exhausted, as she heard Meredith crying and throwing up the night before.
I am glad that everyone is dressed appropriately for this yacht outing… not. The drinks start flowing and the dance moves come out… if you can call them that. Later, Lisa chats about life with Henry and John. It has been a challenging year for Henry, but he is now starting to adjust. When the women show interest in this familial issue, Britani takes offense. After all, she shared big news about her daughter talking to her again and no one seemed to care.
Britani feels like this group is not very supportive of the good things in her life. Bronwyn wonders if Britani likes, “The idea of telling us you have an announcement, or do you actually like the idea of seeing your daughter?” Britani in turn calls Bronwyn a b*tch, and Bronwyn calls Lisa out because she is, once again, not defending her despite their 10-year friendship. Bronwyn breaks down and reminds Lisa how she has asked for backup, but no matter what Lisa says, Bronwyn does not feel close to her.
Bronwyn goes on to say that from day one, this group had a lot to say about her before even getting to know her (gold digger, b*tch, etc.). She talks about how hard it has been with Todd and the “infidelities” they have had. A few years ago, they were on a trip, and her daughter, Gwen, saw texts from the iPad over Todd’s shoulder.
The group is finally silent as they listen to how Bronwyn confronted Todd. She shares this with them so that they can learn the deeper side of her. Todd explained that he is never satisfied in business, and he finds that he cannot turn it off at home either. Bronwyn tries to defend Todd’s behavior and explains the five-diamond ring he came back with (a promise for each diamond). However, due to Todd’s traveling, she always feels like cheating is imminent. Bronwyn cries about not being good enough at home and not being good enough with this group of women.
Throughout all of this, Lisa and Meredith seem to be taking Todd’s side, according to Whitney. Bronwyn admits that Todd means more to her than she means to him, which is so ridiculously sad. Bronwyn states she is not being understood, and she feels like she is not good enough for anyone since things with the ladies have been “tricky” as well.
Heather reminds Bronwyn that she is a survivor, but she is allowed to ask for more. She doesn’t owe Todd anything, and maybe it’s time she spoke up, despite having the life she dreamed of. Bronwyn appreciates Heather sticking up for her. Meredith hints that maybe Todd can’t give her more, and Angie explains that her husband is a perfectionist like Todd. The women hug the “more relatable” Bronwyn, but Lisa knows that when Todd sees this, he is gonna “lose his mind.”
After the emotional boat ride, Britani explains how she feels closer to Bronwyn. Meredith lets Britani know she is feeling better now, but she doesn’t know that Britani told everyone and their mother about Meredith’s late-night tears the night before…
In the meantime, Angie and Whitney check in with Bronwyn. Bronwyn feels like things with Lisa are STILL weird — Lisa is doing “just enough to make her feel uncomfortable, but nothing overtly wrong.” Whitney feels like Meredith and Lisa are defending the cheater Todd since it’s something that they’ve both either been through or have been accused of. They side with Todd because they want to be forgiven. Bronwyn realizes that Lisa stuck up for Gwen’s grandparents, who have refused to get to know their grandchild. Whitney feels like Lisa has a hard time getting below the surface. Bronwyn wonders if Lisa even believes what she shared about her marriage…
After taking swift action with Robert Jr. and getting him into a facility (willingly), Mary arrives in Mexico. She is cagey when asked why she came a day late, but she is grateful to see Angie, who knows the true story.
Lisa has put together a VIDA party for dinner, and Mary patiently waits for her “pastrami soup” (aka minestrone soup). Britani continues to check in on Meredith’s health and points out that she heard her crying the night before. Bronwyn shares that she feels awkward, as she heard the gossip about Meredith crying and throwing up, and so the game of telephone has begun.
Meredith explains that she was upset about the slut-shaming and she cried, which is confusing considering she made up with Angie the night before. Meredith does not want to go backward with Angie, but when Lisa butts in, Angie shuts her right down. Angie wonders if she should take a play from Lisa’s book and lunge at her. Angie does not appreciate Lisa getting in the middle once again and wonders why Lisa thinks she is the boss. Lisa feels like Angie doesn’t like that she is not agreeing with her.
Whitney states that it’s interesting when it comes to Lisa’s feelings. Why does Lisa get to be the dictator who can pick and choose? Lisa feels like Whitney did some f*cked up stuff to her, and she is not a “victim, she is a f*cking lying b*tch.” Bronwyn wonders what happened with her friendship with Lisa, and Lisa warns, “Bronwyn, I’ll get to you next.” Lisa is exhausted by Bronwyn and the neverending issues.
Bronwyn points out that Lisa seemed to have stood up for Todd more than her, and Angie claims that Bronwyn has divulged more about her marriage than Lisa has ever told her about her life. She feels like Lisa is guarded, and Lisa becomes upset. Lisa claims that she shares stuff with Angie, so when Angie says Lisa is not real, it is upsetting. Maybe Angie never really was Lisa’s friend? Lisa excuses herself, stating that she is “going f*cking home” because she is “done.” Mary wonders what has happened to the dessert, and another dinner party is ruined…
