According to Brit, the aftermath of Kenya‘s display is “really ugly and hard to digest.” On this episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta , Brit attempts to pick up the pieces of the humiliation. Kelli tries to show her unwavering support for Brit at what is meant to be a peace brunch, but things take a turn when Angela questions some of Brit’s statements, leaving Brit to wonder just whose side are these women on?
Brit is reeling from Kenya’s antics and feels like Kenya does not even realize the damage she has caused. Even Kenya’s “minions” are DMing Brit in awe of how low Kenya stooped. Brit paid $250 on flowers for Kenya, and Kenya went ahead and made a mockery of her and her gift. Brit is devastated, as she may lose her license over this ordeal, and realizes that the 2 (to be exact) mistakes that she made when she was younger, are still haunting her.
Her past mishaps were meant to stay buried, since she had everything wiped from the internet, so Kenya must’ve had to have dug really deep to get those naked pictures of her. Brit is an emotional mess trying to move on.
Kelli comes to check in on her friend, like a real one would do. Not only does Kelli bring some food and champagne, but she also brings an IV specialist over to help administer some bad b*tch vitamins. Brit wants them to help slow the aging process, so they don’t wind up like Kenya.
Kelli cannot wrap her mind around why Kenya would do this at the grand opening of her salon. Tearing another woman down is never cool and Kelli realizes that Kenya is truly crazy. Brit is certain that Kenya wanted her to be there so she would attack and give Kenya a reason to retaliate. In an effort to show support for Brit, Kelli kicks around the idea of getting the ladies together.
Over at Sterling Hall, Shamea is focused on finding peace in the group, especially after Kenya’s event. Angela, Porsha, and Kelli arrive and they try to process it all. Kenya should have never attacked Brit at her salon opening and Kelli points out it felt like a pre-meditated act. Kenya seemed to have it all planned out, making it the lowest of the low.
When it comes to Porsha’s shady comments about knowing something about Charles, she admits to “playing with Angela.” She does, however, claim to have a “degree in investigation.”
Drew arrives to Shamea’s late, as usual. She talks about her situation with Ralph and the difficulties of navigating living under the same roof. Porsha understands the hardships with divorce, but knows she will never get back together with Simon, especially after he badmouthed her mother and seems to discard Pilar, her daughter. Simon does not even respond to Porsha’s texts about Pilar. Many of the things Porsha talks about align with Drew’s story as of late, and it’s unfortunate they can’t be there for each other thanks to one Dennis.
On a different note, Kelli wants to host a garden brunch since “life is lifeing.” Even Drew and Portia decide they can coexist, despite all of this drama. Side note: Michael Jordan is Drew’s cousin??
Kelli is doing some yoga with her daughter, Chloe. They discuss the recent articles about her ex, Mark, and wonder what it’s going to take for him to actually start coming around. Her younger daughters still think he is in jail! He goes around saying he is focusing on his kids, but is late on child support. Kelli’s ex is not Chloe’s father and because of this, Chloe feels like he doesn’t care for her the same way he does the other girls. It’s a whole mess and Chloe does not even want to get married, in fear of “ending up” like Kelli.
Every first, third, and fifth weekend, Drew has to leave her house so Ralph can have his parenting time with the kids. It’s been rough going through the divorce, as it has had an impact on the kids…and on Drew, as well. Ralph comes in early, barging in on the family meal, but before she heads out to leave the kids in his care, she talks some business with him. They bicker over calling the exterminator, but Ralph calls her out, claiming she doesn’t have anything on her plate. She doesn’t even pay any bills! Drew feels like Ralph just likes to trigger her.
Shamea is heading to the studio. She is working with her famous producer, RL, who has worked with Luther Vandros and Jamie Foxx…perhaps Drew should work with this guy instead of Dennis? But Shamea is not new to the music industry. She was in a girl group with Keri Hilson!
Angela joins Shamea and points out Porsha’s shade when she claimed to not know it was Shamea singing the track. Weird that Porsha did not cheer Shamea on the same way Shamea hypes Porsha up. Angela wonders if Porsha is as loyal to Shamea. When Drew barges into the session, even she realizes that Porsha was being shady, claiming to not know it was Shamea singing. Drew explains the beauty of music and how Dennis has built her up. Too bad she couldn’t just pick someone else to work with…
Brit has her mom over and she talks about the “uncomfortable conversation” about a “woman trying to shame me for giving fellatio.” The Kenya mess is all-encompassing, but the silver lining is that it has brought her closer to her mother and sisters. Brit is tired of dealing with the hate and wonders how a former Miss USA could be motivating girls by behaving this way.
Porsha and Shamea get together, despite Shamea still harboring some anger over the singing comment. Porsha discusses how Dennis told her he did not film with Drew, but we, the viewers know, that a mere 8 days after he said that, it did in fact happen. Porsha worries about her co-parenting relationship with Dennis thanks to Drew.
Shamea mentions her IVF journey and Porsha realizes that she has to put any idea of expanding her family on hold due to her divorce with Simon. The cease and desist letters happen nearly every day and they remain at war with one another.
Kelli, and her stylist, set up the “peaceful” (lol) luncheon. Her goal is to show Brit that she is supported as she navigates this difficult time all thanks to Kenya. Porsha is sick and cannot come and Kelli lets her know she should take “everything [to feel better], just not someone else’s man.”
As the ladies trickle in, Kelli talks about her ex and how he owes her over $10,000 in child support. Kelli has been very private for the last 2.5 years, but thing have been ramping up. Brit is the last to arrive (even Drew has beaten her this time), but that is because she is having a hard time picking up the pieces. Kelli explains that this brunch is to show their support for Brit, but once Brit learns that the ladies have spoken to Kenya, something shifts.
Brit cries that because of this situation, she lost her license, and Angela (and her fan) ain’t buying this. Angela clocks her with, “based on what?” and this sets Brit off. Angela reminds Brit that she failed to take responsibility for how she got where she is. Did Brit forget that she threated Kenya with pistols and whips? An angry Brit demands Angela “read the mother f*cking room,” but Angela retorts that Brit likes to “throw rocks and hide” her hands.
Shamea realizes that this is getting wild and claims these ladies need tranquilizers. Kelli tries to make Brit feel more comfortable by switching seats with Angela and switching gears. Shamea tries to get to the bottom of the licensing comment again, by asking “how did you come about losing your license?” Brit changes her story explains she is under investigation, and she did not lose it immediately. When Angela mumbles “thought so,” Brit spirals once again.
Brit asks Angela if she would “like to twirl out,” a nod to Kenya and Drew sees the shade. Although she admits Kenya took it too far, Drew feels like Brit and Kenya can both admit what they did was wrong and move on. According to Brit, the damage is done and cannot be erased. Shamea just wants everyone to focus on the good before they see the bad and the next thing you know, they are up electric-sliding their troubles away together…for now.
