Twisted is heading to the small screen.
The rights to the book series written by Ana Huang were obtained by Netflix in a seven-figure deal, her rep confirmed to E! News.
Twisted—a four-book series—is a “steamy new adult series that follows the lives of four best friends and their brooding love interests,” reads a press release about the deal, “riddled with dark secrets from their pasts, as they overcome the obstacles keeping them apart to fall in love.”
To date, the series has sold over 12 million copies, and its debut novel Twisted Love spent over 60 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. And on TikTok, #twistedseries boasts over two billion views.
Ana, meanwhile, took to social media to celebrate the news.
“It’s the new year, which means I can FINALLY announce some big news: Netflix is developing the Twisted series into a TV show,” she wrote in her Jan. 10 post. “I’ve been dying to share this with you for a while, and I hope you’re as excited as I am because I cannot wait to see the Twisted universe come to life!!”
