Blake Lively walked the red carpet at the SXSW 2025 premiere of the “Another Simple Favor” with a cocktail in-hand — well, kinda.
The actress, 37, stepped out in Austin, Texas for the premiere of the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 film “A Simple Favor” starring herself and Anna Kendrick.
The star got all dolled up for the carpet, wearing a two-piece pink latex ensemble by Renée Massoomian complete with a vintage flair and vinyl cardigan.
However, at a photocall later on the same day, she switched things up, wearing a bedazzled peach set and carrying a Judith Leiber martini-shaped clutch ($5,795) as an homage to her character Emily Nelson and her go-to beverage.
In the first film, Nelson reveals the secret to a “real martini,”: a frozen martini glass, frozen gin, spilled vermouth (yes, on the floor) and, most importantly, a lemon twist. “And don’t add f—cking ice. Ever.”
The clutch-version of the movie’s iconic cocktail is absolutely covered in crystals of all shapes and sizes, and of course topped with a crystal-encrusted yellow lemon slice.
The drink has another significance to Lively personally too, as the first movie, which premiered in 2018, served as a promo for husband Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin company. However, this time around, it’ll be director Paul Fieg’s brand of the liquor that gets exclusive rights.
Lively has long been a fan of dressing for a movie theme. Most recently, the “Gossip Girl” alum rocked floral-covered clothing throughout the entirely of her “It Ends with Us” press tour inspired by her role as the aptly named florist Lily Bloom.
From $19,000 Valentino jeans with flower-shaped cut outs to Britney Spears’ rainbow-hued Versace dress, the actress’ botanical outfits were in full bloom for months.
Lively even continued her character dressing adventures when she took a break from promoting “It Ends With Us” to support her husband’s latest project, “Deadpool & Wolverine.”
She hit the Marvel flick’s premiere in a red Versace catsuit reminiscent of Reynold’s Deadpool suit. (Her BFF Gigi Hadid, meanwhile, paid homage to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in yellow Miu Miu.)
The duo even kept their theme going for the movie’s afterparty, with Lively choosing a blue-and-red Balmain mini covered with — what else? — flowers.
And, last time around, she was seen out and about in nothing but bold pantsuits for months to promote “A Simple Favor.”
We can be sure to expect the same dedication for the sequel.
