Chynna Phillips is happy to have husband Billy Baldwin back under the same roof after previously admitting they lived apart due to an “allergy to one another.”
“He’s been an awesome roommate these past few weeks. I don’t know, there’s been a shift. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s him, maybe it’s God — maybe it’s a little bit of everything,” Phillips said in a video published to her YouTube on Sunday.
“But, I feel like we’re in a way, way better place. I’m so grateful.”
The singer also confessed to having regrets about living separately in the first place.
“I am retracting that [allergy] comment and I am now saying that is probably a very foolish, very unwise, very destructive, stupid decision, because that’s not going to solve our problem with the allergy,” Phillips, 56, said of her candid remarks from two months ago.
The mother of three went on to say that she and the actor — who have been married for 30 years — have been taking “allergy medication” to address their marital woes.
“That allergy medication is communication, being kind and gentle, being more tolerant and really seeking out ways to be kind and supportive and more playful,” Phillips explained.
The Wilson Phillips member also said that she has had to “grow up” and realize that she doesn’t need to chastise Baldwin, 61, for not being as “playful” as she is.
“Yes, I wish we could just giggle and be a little less serious together, but that’s just not his temperament as much,” she said.
“He’s getting better. He is literally laughing more, playing more and finding the humor in things.”
Phillips opened up in a November 2024 YouTube video about her and Baldwin’s prior living arrangement, which consisted of living in two separate homes in Southern California.
She was residing in Santa Barbara, Calif., while the “Gossip Girl” alum was staying in Beverly Hills.
“We just need a little time apart because we are sort of an allergy to one another,” the musician said at the time. “And it’s OK. I’m sure lots of different couples are allergies to each other.”
Despite living apart, Phillips explained that the duo still went to therapy, had date nights and “sleepovers” and occasionally swapped houses.
A week before Phillips’ revelation that she and Baldwin were living together again, she gushed over the actor while sharing a sweet selfie.
“I love you, I love you, I love you… ♥️♥️♥️,” she captioned the photo shared via Instagram on Dec. 20.
The couple tied the knot in September 1995 and share three kids: Jameson, 24, Vance, 23, and Brooke, 20.
