Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are still planning to stay “connected” post-divorce, a source exclusively tells Page Six.
“They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved,” the insider shares, four months after the “Hustlers” actress filed for divorce from the “Batman” star.
“Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids.”
The exes first began dating in 2002 after working together on the set of “Gigli.” They got engaged for the first time in November of that year but called it quits in January 2004. The two rekindled their romance — and got engaged for a second time — years later in 2021.
Back in August, on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony (which they held after eloping in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022), Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck.
The actor was previously married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 until 2015. They co-parent their three children together: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
Despite Affleck and Lopez’s latest split, we’re told the exes “have a mutual respect for one another,” which is “not something that goes away” overnight.
“Obviously things haven’t been the same, but they have a lot of history,” our source tells us of the Oscar winner, 52, and the “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 55.
And the two have already proven they can keep it cool in public together. Just last week, Affleck, Lopez, and Garner, 52, all came together to support their kids at a school play.
The trio arrived at the school event in Los Angeles last Friday, where they watched Seraphina perform, along with Lopez and Marc Anthony’s 16-year-old child, Emme.
Affleck and Lopez’s “kids attend the same school so they’re bound to spend time together,” the insider tells Page Six.
“Ben and Jennifer remain amicable whenever they do see each other. They’re still close with each other’s children, and even though they don’t have a co-parenting type of relationship, they still feel like a blended family in a lot of ways.”
Reps for Affleck and Lopez did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
