In light of the Sunday Times’ 2023 report, in which four women came forward and accused Russell Brand of sexual assault, rape and emotional abuse, metropolitan police in London have asked the Crown Prosecution Service to consider charging the actor over the claims. Detectives investigating the allegations revealed on Saturday they had interviewed “a man in his 40s” on “three separate occasions” in relation to the case and submitted the file of evidence to prosecutors, per The Guardian.
