Angelina Jolie’s son Maddox is following in his mom’s footsteps.
While speaking about her other potential career paths, the actress said on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Thursday that she is a licensed pilot — and so is the 23-year-old.
“Maddox is training to be a pilot, too,” Jolie shared before clarifying that “he actually is a pilot now.”
The Oscar winner, 49, went barefoot for the interview after breaking her toe the previous day.
“I tried to find a comfortable shoe, but I just decided to not [wear any],” she explained to Jimmy Fallon during her first late-night TV appearance in a decade.
Maddox’s love for planes is no secret, as Jolie previously gushed to People that he had inspired her to become a pilot in 2004.
“Every time Mad sees a plane, he’s amazing,” she said at the time. “If I could actually fly a plane by the time he’s 4, I’ll be like Superman to him.”
The “Girl, Interrupted” star told the same magazine in 2017 that Maddox was “practicing flying,” showing himself to be “quite capable” and had even “go[ne] solo.”
On Thursday, Jolie also spoke briefly about her and ex-husband Brad Pitt’s other five children and their desire for privacy.
“They really really want to be, especially Shiloh … private [and] not photographed,” the Golden Globe winner said, calling out her 18-year-old specifically.
She and Pitt, 60, are also the parents of Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
When Fallon joked that could be difficult considering “everyone’s so famous around them,” Jolie noted that “it wasn’t their choice.”
She added that “some of” her brood is interested in working “off-camera, behind the scenes.”
Jolie, notably, has recently worked on the “Outsiders” Broadway adaptation with Vivienne, as well as “Without Blood” with Maddox and Pax.
In November, Knox joined his mom for a rare red carpet appearance at the 2024 Governors Awards in Hollywood.
“Angelina felt so proud having Knox by her side,” a source told Page Six last month, noting that “he typically prefers to stay out of the spotlight.”
The insider added, “Angelina respects that decision, but he asked if he could join her, and of course she was thrilled that he wanted to be there.”
Another source, however, told us that Pitt believed the outing was meant to “push his buttons” since it occurred days after news broke that the exes’ contentious winery battle is heading to trial.
The “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-stars broke up in 2016 after 11 years together and were declared legally single in 2019.
