Erika Jayne is doubling down on claims she made against Sutton Stracke on Tuesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
After accusing Sutton, 53, of posing as a “friend” but acting as an “enemy,” Erika, 53, labeled Sutton “mean” and looked back on her treatment of the women on the cast, including Kyle Richards, 56, and Dorit Kemsley, 48, as Sutton defended herself and Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 48, weighed in.
“Sutton can dish it out but cannot take it, and I don’t think I’m being very harsh here. I’m just saying something that, number one, I’ve experienced and I’ve observed. I’ve experienced it firsthand, and then I’ve watched Kyle go through it. And Dorit going through it now,” Erika explained on the March 18 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.
“I think I’m right, and I think these other women know I’m right, whether they’ll say it or not,” she continued.
According to Erika, who recalled a moment in which Sutton offered to lend her money, she believes that her co-star throws out words, potentially in an effort to “[excuse her] behavior” or “[throw] people off.”
“But it doesn’t. It’s not authentic,” she explained. “What is authentic is she’s mean to people when they’re at their lowest and there’s no need for that. Her wallet’s too big.”
As for Sutton, she also called her co-star “mean.”
“What the hell? What about you and boats makes you so mean?” she asked, proceeding to signal the fraud crimes Erika’s now estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, 85, committed against his former clients as she looked back on her kind deeds.
“Coming from a woman who lived through all of the burn victims and the wives, this woman doesn’t even know me,” she stated. “I helped Erika when she announced she was getting divorced. I wasn’t kicking Kyle when she was down cause she told everybody her life was perfect. I was helping Dorit when she said she was going through her separation, and then Dorit yelled at me, so I defended myself.”
During her own segment with Dorit, Boz suggested that Sutton didn’t do a good job of negating what she was accused of and noted that she wasn’t surprised to see her lash out.
“[Sutton] doesn’t like to be cornered,” Boz stated.
But Dorit replied, “She wasn’t even cornered. She doesn’t want the truth, which is ugly … Sutton likes to go at people when they’re at their lowest. [When] Erika was in a really, really low place … Sutton was just riding her.”
Even Kyle agreed with Erika’s assessment of Sutton’s behavior toward the cast.
“Honestly, I think that part of her knows it’s true. I think that when Sutton is confronted with the truth, she gets very defensive and reactionary,” she suspected.
Also on the RHOBH: After Show, both Erika and Sutton admitted to thinking kindly of each other — but only at times.
“I don’t love Erika, but I like her, and after having a nice summer, I was a bit gobsmacked by this,” Sutton noted.
Meanwhile, after confirming there are times she really enjoys Sutton, saying she can be “fun” and “warm,” Erika said it “gets ruined.”
“Then it becomes, for me, a very transactional type of relationship. I would like more of a friendship and more of a consistent person, but if you don’t get that, you don’t get that,” she stated.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
