Cheryl Hines reportedly gave her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a “strict ultimatum” after his alleged sexting affair with news reporter Olivia Nuzzi last year.
According to the Daily Mail, the actress ordered the politician to immediately relocate her from Los Angeles to Washington D.C., where he is serving as the head of the Department of Health and Human Services under President Trump’s administration.
“Cheryl doesn’t feel Bobby can be trusted one iota living on his own, in D.C., even part-time, with so many attractive women and Kennedy groupies around, as he gets settled in his powerful new position,” an insider told the outlet.
“So she’s given him a strict ultimatum –- move me or else,” the source continued.
The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star, 59, reportedly fears Kennedy’s “lust demons” will make an appearance if he is “even a part-time bachelor” in the nation’s capital.
Sources claimed she’s still “recovering from the emotional shock and pain” of the 71-year-old lawyer’s alleged cheating scandal, which left her “blindsided.”
“Cheryl’s willing to sacrifice all that glamorous lifestyle to become a political wife, move to D.C. forthwith, and live in trendy Georgetown, so she can keep a close watch on Bobby,” another source told the outlet.
Reps for Hines weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
In September, Kennedy made headlines when it was revealed he had engaged in an alleged sexting affair with Nuzzi, who was a reporter for New York magazine.
At the time, the 32-year-old journalist admitted she and Kennedy had a relationship after he allegedly bragged to people about inappropriate photos she sent him via text.
The scandal led to Nuzzi losing her job and ending her engagement to ex-fiancé Ryan Lizza.
Following the news, Hines stepped out without her wedding ring several times but later stood by Kennedy’s side at numerous events, including his confirmation hearing.
Kennedy declined to comment on the scandal at the time and has not addressed it since.
The couple recently attended the UCSD Cancer Center Starry Starry Night Gala at the Chaparral Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif., over the weekend.
Kennedy gave a speech at the event and was presented with an award.
Page Six is told the duo were “gracious and warm with everyone in attendance.”
