A complete letdown.
Timothée Chalamet, 29, missed out on making history as the youngest best actor winner at the 2025 Oscars for his performance as Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown.”
Ironically, Chalamet lost to Adrien Brody for “The Brutalist,” who became the youngest best actor winner when he won in 2003 for his role in “The Pianist” when he was 29 years old.

Chalamet would have had Brody beat by a few months as he turns 30 on December 27th.
Also missing out were Sebastian Stan, Colman Domingo and Ralph Fiennes.
This wasn’t Chalamet’s first Oscar nod.
He earned a nomination for his role as Elio Perlman in the 2017 coming-of-age film, “Call Me by Your Name,” making him the third-youngest nominee in the category and the youngest since 19-year-old Mickey Rooney in 1939.
At least the “Wonka” star had his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, there to console him.
Earlier in the evening the couple were photographed packing on the PDA inside the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Chalamet was spotted whispering into Jenner’s ear and kissing her cheek before they took their seats in the front row.
The reality star, who had skipped the red carpet, looked the part in a black gown featuring cutouts across her midsection. The fashion-forward actor was clad in a pastel-yellow suit.
The couple, who generally keep a low profile, began dating in early 2023.
Since then, they have been spotted smooching at the U.S. Open, a Beyoncé concert and other award shows.
The relationship is said to be serious between the two high-profile names.
“Kylie has never felt like this about anybody else before and definitely sees a future with him,” an insider told us in January.
The lipstick mogul feels like her relationship with Chalamet is “so different” from her past romances — and believes he is “the one.”
